Why we do…
Urban displaced people are among the country’s weakest citizens, with the least amount of economic and social power. Once uprooted from existing networks, reorganizing lives and livelihoods takes a longer time.
Most of the children in these communities have negative or no role models. Tendencies learned during the formative years tend to grow and snowball into fraud and crime.
We at Kidz Klubz want to avert children from a life of crime that is so prevalent in this environment to ‘Raise a Righteous Generation’ of children by implanting biblical values and good habits.

HOW WE DO...
Kidz Klubz are conducted weekly in Sinhala and Tamil. We have over 7.500 kids registered. These Klubz happen as small groups in homes in the community they live in, and are carried out by our 217 volunteer teachers.

The children are taught a value-based curriculum that is tailor-made and developed in-house which includes games, handwork, and activity books to reinforce the value taught in different and fun ways that would appeal to each child.
To enhance their team spirit and skills, and to give the children the opportunity to showcase their talents, we conduct special events such as
- Children’s Day Celebrations
- Tree Planting and Shramadhana
- Arts & Crafts Exhibition
- Avurudhu Sellam
At the end of every year, we also give each registered child a gift to appreciate them.
